windows me free anti-virus / firewall

i run windows me (ok so i must be the only one left). just recently my free AVG anti virus software has stopped working & is no longer windows me supported also the zone alarm gave up on me months ago. does anyone out there know of a free easily downloaded anti virus/fire wall that will run on windows me.......or are you going to tell me i'm too tight and should upgrade to a more modern OS?........hello....hello.......anyone out there???

I'd second that.
I'd wipe the PC and install Ubuntu on it - done this on several laptops and never had a problem. You can download it (or order a disk off ubuntu.com) and try it out _before_ you install it and make any alterations to your system.
Either that or a new pc, but I'd be inclined to wait for Windows 7 (as retailers shift their older Vista stock cheap) before buying.0 -
Avast works with ME, at least it was OK a couple of months back.
The resident scanner doesn't work with it, same as using it with Win98.
Also, while it may be OK running ME, Ubuntu these days has relatively high system requirements.Move along, nothing to see.0 -
