I reinstalled Vista on my Dell Desktop [Dimensions 9200]
The system came with 2 DVD's
1.Reinstallation DVD Microsoft XP Media Center Edition Version 2005 with Update Rollup2
2.Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Ed 2005 to Windows Vista Home Premium Express Upgrade
Now, to get Media Centre installed , which one I should use?
I tried the first one, but it looks like XP installation!
The second one doesn't recognise my Activation key [not sure I am using the right one............is the activation key same as CERTIFICATE OF
AUTHENTICITY ]
Much appreciate your help

Which disc did you use to reinstall Vista?
I'm not 100%, but from the titles of the discs, it sounds like you need to install XP first using "Reinstallation DVD Microsoft XP Media Center Edition Version 2005 with Update Rollup2" and then use Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Ed 2005 to Windows Vista Home Premium Express Upgrade to upgrade it to Vista.
Media Centre can't be installed as a standalone application, it's embedded into the operating system. If you've installed either Vista Home Premium or Vista Ultimate, then you'll already have it.The pen is mightier than the sword, and considerably easier to write with.

OK, so Vista Business doesn't come with Media Centre and there won't be any way of installing it. Where did you get Vista Business from?
Have you bought it seperately? The pen is mightier than the sword, and considerably easier to write with.
