Wanted to reply to very stupid comment addressed to me but was left hanging, voiceless, as thread had been closed! I'm new and don't understand this and couldn't find anything in FAQs. Can a moderator please explain why the thread was closed?

I thought I had posted it in the discussion section where peole keep saying such things should be posted, instead of in the advice ones. I'm new so still trying to get to grips with navigating the sites. Are you a moderator? If not, why have you replied?"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."
