Windows 7 Drivers

hi,

i have just installed windows 7 on an old Dell Inspiron 6000 laptop.

Anyone know where I can get the network drivers from?

vista drivers should work with windows 7,vista 32bit = windows 7 32bit,vista 64 bit = windows 7 64 bit
you might have to us generic drivers ,instead of dell drivers put dell vista drivers should work

you will need to know who makes the hardware to get the generic drivers ,eg intel wifi ,from intel site,broadcom modem from you guested it broadcom
and good luck you have a oldish lappy there and drivers might be hard to find for it (vista ones in any case)

Try the Vista drivers on the manufacturer's website for whatever you need.

The laptop is an old one i resurrected! Not my everyday machine. Use a mac for the daily grind. Much better and safer.

Trying to see what the hype is.

I tried it out on my Mac, and I didn't think much of it. Pretty much just a slightly snappier Vista with a slight facelift. It has a different name though, which seems to be the main thing.

Still, it's always good to know what you're missing.
