Rock pooling in Skegness area?

Hi guys, does anyone know if there are any good rock pooling areas in the Skeggy/Lincs coast area? What about finding somewhere to go crabbing? I would like to take the kids as DS used to be scared of the sea so it has not been an option before but he seems OK now so would like to give it another try. Does anyone know anywhere with a good number of pools? I've tried Googling but am not coming up with much online.

Thanks.

hi i think if you head up the coast past chapel stl eonards and chapel point there may be a few rock pools as you get towards anderby creek ,we go to chapel a lot but not often as far as anderby so i could be wrong but im sure i remember some there.
whitby is the best for rock pools but that doesnt help if youre off to skeg

  • sorry no rock pools around that area, but wonderful beaches
also if you go to Louth try Hubbard Hill has a stream running through which the children paddle in, very nice.

OK, Thank you. Ha, I bet I am the only one who wants rocks - my son was afraid of the sand last time we went. It made for a quick trip to the beach as he refused to get off the rug and screamed whenever the sand came onto the rug. And he has a sandpit!! We are going to go up to the Nature Reserve anyway.

We plan for rain - it always rains when we go to on holiday!! LOL. We went to Florida in 2000 and it was 0c and the first time Florida had seen ice and frost for 30 years. LOL.
