faded single yellow line.

There is a faded single yellow line, with no Time Plate. There is double yellow line near and that has got a 'time plate'.

I parked my car on the single yellow line and got a ticket, what should i do, pay the ticket or not?

The yellow line is about 4 yards long and almost faded, there is not one on the other side.

Someone will be able to advise you properly once you've followed the instructions on the sticky, as recommended.

A single yellow line should be accompanied by a time plate unless you were within a Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) that had zonal entry signs.
