cleaning smelly tupperware

I've got a couple of those ceramic beakers that keep coffee hot, the ones with the silicone lids. The lids stink if you put them in the dishwasher & now they've started smelling (of the previous drink) even if they are hand washed.

Any tips or ideas, they are soft white rubbery silicone type of material.

could you soak them in sterilising fluid, as you would baby bottles and teats? Failing that, try soaking them in a solution of bicarb

I find that thermos flasks smell horrible if stored with the lid on so leave them off. I also use the bicarb method to keep it smelling fresh and add boiling water to the bicarb before leaving it for a while and then rinsing out.
