A new quest for Martin perhaps?
When you or your loved ones are sick/injured the last thing you need is to be trying to fund parking at the hospital.
This can amount to an enormous cost at what can be an already, very distressing time.

Fat chance
There was an infamous case here years ago where a woman visited her husband who was gravely ill. He took a turn for the worse, so she naturally overstayed her two hours paid for while he was dying. Bereaved, she eventually returned to the car after about 5 or 6 hours to find it immobilised, and met one of those semi-extortionist members of the worshipful company of wheel-clampers, with threats of bills running into hundreds. Fortunately, the hospital was amongst those deeply shocked by this, and the company of goons lost the contract.
But there's still a modest charge.0 -
the arguements with car parking at hospitals is that it is expensive to pay if you are visiting a loved 1
if they lowered their prices then they wouldn't get the stick0 -
Yes but if it was cheaper (and as most hospitals are in central locations) they would become an alternative to commuter parking, and then there would be no hospital parking.
The answer (and some do this) is that you get a token (or barcode) on the ward and when you pay you scan the code/token and you get a discount. Therefore people just using the car park for non-hospital needs could still pay a high priceThe proof that some people really are opinionated and ignorant
