Ripped off.

Hello there.
I'm wondering what any of you would do in this situation.
I regularly swap/trade on a community on LIVEJOURNAL.
I sent a girl who was auctioning her clothes on there $60 through paypal on feb 14th this year.
After waiting a couple of months hadn't received anything so e-mailed her asking where my stuff was and it shoujdln't take this long. She said she had sent it and should be there any day - it might take longer as she's in the states.
Eventually after nearly 4 months I've realised I'm not goin' to receive ANYTHING from this girl and so wrote in the community about my experience only to have replies about how she's ripped other people off too.
I tried to make a claim through paypal but they said they can't do anythign after 45 days?!
I googled a few things she had written in her profile such as where she lived and her interests and found her myspace which is ent a couple of messages to - they've been read but not responded to.

What can I do now? She's basically robbed me of $60 ( which is alot of money to me!), ripped off other people and will probably keep on doing so.

As she's in the states and I'm in the UK is there ANYTHING I can do?

I'm afraid that if I go to or write to citizens advice they're laugh at me?!

Thanks!

With her being overseas I can't think of a useful suggestion to help here. Did you fund your paypal payment by credit card by any chance? If so you might try them for an item not received claim.

Why on earth did you wait "a couple of months" before asking where the items were?

Surely a week or two is more than enough.......

I get quite a few parcels from overseas and some of them do take quite alot of time to come even though the post mark date could be 1-2 months beforehand.
I should have enquired beforehand, you're right but as I was moving and also recently found out I was pregnant everything was a bit hectic and got pushed to the back of my mind!
