Unable to access Bookhopper website

For the last 2-3 weeks I have been unable to access the Bookhopper website, I assumed that they were having server trouble as they have been offline now and again recently. Today, though, I received book request from someone so I tried to the website from a different computer and was able to get in, but I still can't do it from my own computer. I get this message: Network Timeout
The operation timed out when attempting to contact www.bookhopper.com.
The requested site did not respond to a connection request and the browser has stopped waiting for a reply.
* Could the server be experiencing high demand or a temporary failure? Try again later.
* Are you unable to browse other sites? Check the computer's network connection.
* Is your computer or network protected by a firewall or proxy? Incorrect settings can interfere with Web browsing.
* Still having trouble? Consult your network administrator or Internet provider for assistance.
I tried turning off my firewall to see if that would help but it made no difference. Any suggestions? I have the windows firewall and avira antivirus and use Supanet dial up. It won't work on Firefox or on Internet explorer. I also tried www.bookhopper.co.uk in case the address had changed. I have tried CCleaner to remove cookies but that made no difference.

I have been thinking about what I have changed in the last few weeks - I reinstalled XP, put on SP3 from a disc, started using avira and installed Spybot and ran the immunise feature. Could any of these have caused the problem?0

Just bumping this up in case anyone knows how to help - or can someone explain why a website would suddenly be out of bounds?0

I too have been unable to access bookhopper for 2 or 3 weeks. I wonder whether this is ISP related? During this period I know that others have been able to log on through other ISPs.
I use VIrginMedia (was NTL) cable broadband. I have also tried logging in through my old PC, and that failed, so I assume that the problem is not related to recent updates on my main PC. I have also tried via ntl dial up and that did not get me to BookHopper either.
However while I have not been able to get in, I know others have been able to get to the site using BTinternet broadband and Orange (was Freeserve) broadband.
What ISPs are other contributors to this thread using?
