Credit card compromised even after the card is cancelled

in Credit cards
Hello,
I discovered earlier this month my credit card had been compromised and someone had taken £20 to pay for an 02 mobile phone topup. I phoned my credit card provider who started the dispute process and sent me a new card and pin. I have just returned from holiday to discover £30 has been taken out to pay for a Vodafone topup. I haven't even used my new card yet! so I phoned my credit card company who said the amount taken was below the threshold? My cc provider are sending me a dispute form to fill in.
I assumed when a card had been compromised it was blocked straight away so no one can use the card details anymore? Am I correct in assuming this, as i am certain who ever has my details will try and use it again as they have managed to do it twice so far!
Many Thanks
Glyn

They have given you the answer - in some retail outlets smaller amounts are not electronically authorised at point of sale.
You have nothing to worry about just keep an eye out for any more rogue transactions.0 -
You might find this thread interesting ... you are not the only person who's had £20/30 mobile phone top-ups as fraud!0
