Hi all
A couple of family members are organising a surprise party for my daughter. During the organisation of this we tried to arrange for a Stretch Limousine for the surprise party. So, we emailed a couple of companies, and they emailed back pictures of their Limo's. We opened up the emails in Hotmail as normal to look at the pictures.
Problem time.......................
Last night, my daughter said "Who's getting a Limo". I asked how she knew, and she said something about windows saving images after you have looked at them. Even after you have shut the computer down. I tried to do a bit of searching the web, but can't find too much information, although I believe images can be stored in the folder 'My documents' or 'received files'.
So, how can we safely browse images contained in Hotmail emails without somebody else seeing them?

If she's going through your temporary files - then its an image thats been on ANY webpage - someone could of just posted a limo on MSE for example.
It sounds more like she's been reading your emails tbh.Nothing I say represents any past, present or future employer.0 -
Id say shes been reading the emails too
I think id be changing the password if I were you:idea:0 -
This is just my thoughts but if she is reading your emails (which it sounds like she is) I would send for emails for odd and weird things like a clown or kiddies magician and see if the conversation comes up,if it does then you will know and you can then block her from using the thing.A bit harsh but she shouldnt be doing that.
That would teach the nosey thing to read your mail LOLIf you dont ask you dont get!!0 -
If you are using something like irfanview to look at the images attached to an email using the left or right "next file" button will bring up the next picture in the cache.
Use ccleaner to clear your history and all will be well.
(No, not reading your emails IMHO)0 -
Images wont save to the computer or browser untill you save them. So it appears your daughter has been reading your emails, unless she is phycic?
Google chrome wont stop you from downloading things, it just deleates your history and cookies. Change your password, and as another person said, email someone about hiring a clown. If she asks you about it, you know that I'm wrong, if she doesnt, i've got a good chance of being right.:)0
