Didnt think Virgin did 2meg any more, I have gone to 4meg well over year ago and 10meg last year I think now.
Have you checked your virgin account emails - they usually send you notifications when or what is happening.
Or just phone and ask.0 -
Your best course of action is to post on the Virgin Media Broadband Support newsgroup and let one of the VM technicians investigate.
You'll need a newsreader to access and post, Windows Live Mail can do it and is free of charge.0 -

Virgin were using a registration process for this upgrade -

which doubled as an excuse to test your modem and its suitability for 10MB. They send you a new one if needed. If not needed you still need to reboot your existing modem to activate the upgrade.0 -
that does help
i tried signng up for it the other day but itwouldnt let me as we never got an email with this new account as we had a previousl email with them that we dont use and have lost:D
thats why i was looking for timetables
looks like they've postponed us until augustBack by no demand whatsoever.0 -
Just done mine & received this
Thanks! Your new modem will be with you within the next 5 days. As soon as it arrives, just swap it over and give us a call to activate it.
We'll be upgrading your area to our superfast up to 10Mb service within the next couple of months. To find out when you'll be going faster, check out our upgrade timetable. We'll also drop you an email to let you know how things are going and we'll confirm when your service has been upgraded.
Glad because my modem's over 8 years old & takes about 10-15 minutes to boot properly.Next year we'll be millionaires!0 -

Yes I was hoping it'd be this month, but at least I know I'm getting a modem thats capable of the full 10Mb now, my terayon can do 6-7Mb at best. I'd be interested to know what would have happend if I didn't register.Next year we'll be millionaires!0 -

I got mine a couple of days ago, didn't notice until I downloaded two music files and they were finished in seconds which was unusual
I ran a speed test and was happy to see it came back at 9.75 Meg :j:j:j
I had had to register a few weeks ago after they'd sent me some literature, but they didn't say when it was going to happen
I dont know anything about getting a new modem tho, not seen that mentioned before reading this thread0
