Not sure if this is mentioned elsewhere on this board, but I read in the paper that tv chef John Burton Race has been declared bankrupt.

So that's him, Worrall-Thompson, Tom Aiken, Paul Rankin having to have an IVA, talk of Gordon Ramsey having to renegotiate loans etc. It's a tough time in the restaurant business, though I suspect it's even tougher if you are a small business that has supplied these celebrities with a pile of food on credit.

I remember there was a programme on the telly when he was setting up the Angel in Dartmouth... and things weren't going great from Day 1. He wasn't getting enough bums on seats, even with his name and in the good times.

I've never warmed to him really.
