You still need a merchant account for that and, although it's not a bad deal for what it is, it is for telephone orders, not a chip and pin terminal.

Hi all,

Although I'm a web designer I have not dealt with taking card payments either over the phone or directly via a website (I can do paypal blindfolded).

My question is, I'm setting up a online shop selling computers, laptops, hardware and accessories and I would like some information on a cheap card payment solution. I'm using a opensource shopping cart software package, as I could not be bothered to design my own (considering it would take an extremely long time to build) and it has a number of modules preinstalled.

What would be the best card payment solution for online and over the phone? We will be starting off small, but I don't know how large the website will grow.

Can anyone point me to a cost effective solution?
