Fed up with baffling bills and confusing energy tariffs?
Comments
-
I moved to Ebico from SP.
Got fed up with the constant adjustment to the monthly DD payments.
Also the build up of a large credit - why should I give them an interest free loan!
I now pay every qtr for the engergy I have actually used - no inaccurate estimates!
I wonder what the rate comparison would be if the discount for monthly DD was taken out of the equation?
Much preffer the Ebico pricing structure and hassle it takes out of the process - saving a couple of pence does not compensate for this.0 -
Agree JC..the broken link could be you have to be a Which member0

I have decided today to really concentrate and unravel my baffling bills and choose another provider. Going to be looking on this board for a while until sorted. I am with Scottish Power and hate the direct debit system that I have no control.
Just looking now at Ebico - recommended in a paper yesterday. Pleased to see good feedback on here. They are cheaper for me for gas, not electric.

We should start a club, have a song..."we are the Eboconians, our bills are simple and neat".
And an annual meet in the BG car park.0 -
Hi all
Which? has asked us to post this comment:
The link is working folks: www.which.co.uk/energyaction and you don't have to be a Which? member. Our campaigning work is for all consumers and you don't have to pay to access this part of the site.
Really glad to hear some of you've had good experiences, but Ofgem research shows 70% of people find the number of tariffs available (over 4000!) confusing.
If you think energy companies need to make your bills and tariffs simpler, use our easy template message to tell your MP - it only takes a minute.
Thanks

Perhaps we should have a campaign against campaigners who ask you to sign up for something but don't explain what their solution is.
Where do Which explain what their problem is?
Where do Which explain what solutions they think should be implemented?
Where do you find out the wording of what you will be contributing to before you are asked for name and address and email? Why have they not published the template letter? Why do we have to provide all that personal information, click 'submit', blindly hoping they will allow us to review the letter before attaching our endorsement?0 -
You don't 'need' to supply any personal information to get to see the draft of the email. You can simply put any information in the initial fields - though this will be the information that gets incorporated into the email itself to personalise it.
However, as the website clearly states, you do need to click again one you have seen the actual email before it goes anywhere.
Edit: you do need to input a valid postcode - but that is so the site can work out who your MP is."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -

It doesn't say that on the the page linked to by Wendy above or on the page linked to by either of the two links therein. (It only states there is an additional step.)

The website itself (where you fill in the fields) speaks of "pressing 'continue' to take you to the final step". i.e. it does not say it will submit the data. It does however confirm on the next page that pressing continue again will submit the email"Now to trolling as a concept. ....
