PPI reclaim companies

I used Brunel Franklin to reclaim PPI on 2 loans with HFC.
I received £2400 from one claim, and paid £690 to BF.
I have heard nothing since, despite me phoning them a couple of times. I suspect that as both PPI claims were submitted as one, BF have closed the claim in mistake now that I have paid them.
So what do I do? Do I proceed myself, or get BF to claim, and pay them again?
My worry is that as I signed an agreement with BF, they will try to claim money from me if I proceeed myself and contact the Ombudsman.

I would certainly get clarification from BF before doing anything else.I am a former Broker, former IFA and former compliance officer, for my sins.
However, I have since seen the light.0 -
It turns out (after another phonecall) that Brunel Franklin have sent a letter of complaint to HFC on 16th April, and there is a timescale of 8 weeks.
Must admit I'm getting a it cheesed off, as I originally submitted my claim on the 3rd November last year.
They don't appear to be very good at keeping you informed.....0 -

Hi There all they are doing is what you can do yourself and your claim would now have been with the FOS for three months so would have been that much further ahead.:mad:0
