go to your local housing office and wahtever you do do not move out until you have a letter from your landloed or you will be intentionally homeless and not rehoused via the homeless route.
get yourself on their waiting list as there is not always a big Q for cetain areas. Go and have a chat with them as each LA may be different.0 -
Another Landlord gets screwed. Tenants rights...bah!!!! Why should the Landlord bear all the hassle of evicting you?
The thing is the council will probably advise you to stay until you are eventually evicted.
I do feel for you in your position, but just giving a Landlords point of view here.0 -
Completely agree with your Tassotti, but what can you do? If this is the law of the land then we have to comply with it ( speaking there as a employee of a LA) Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
wow black saturn......congratulations for paying off your mortgage!
its so horrible what happened with your landlord before tho.....some people are just so horrible.....and you having kids as well makes it worse.....you'd have the thought the council would have took the fact you had two small kids into condieration a bit more!!0 -
i rent from a housing association and they recently installed a new boiler.the problem i have is the pipes leading to my kitchen radiator-which they put there-run along the side of my kitchen door frame leading to my sitting room.its automatic that you would put your hand on the door frame, but the pipes carry boiling hot water.i put in to have them boxed in but they are refusing to do it because of costs. i explained that it has been left in a dangerous way. im now waiting on my housing officer to ring me. i want to know what steps i have to take to fight this. please help peeps if you can.0

Post as a new thread cos this one's very old & it could get lost. I've just spent the last few minutes reading the first page b4 realising it's from 2006!
A new thread would be a great idea.Tough times never last longer than tough people.0
