Yummy!! DH is working hard on the Beef in Black Bean sauce at the mo and it smells heavenly!!

The food at the festy is sooooooooooo good but a little pricey, you can get just about anything you care to think of including healthy stuff and veggie options. We're going to have to take it easy on that this year :( but we bought loads of bacon and sausages and stuff today so we can have a hearty brekkie before leaving for the bus this year. It will be really odd not camping, never done it before but we figured it would work out cheaper if we do despite the rip off bus prices. Are you planning on taking any cooking facitlities Gemma? if so you should check out http://www.isleofwightfestival.com/information.aspx as there are restrictions on what you can and can't do.....

    Cooking

If you are planning to cook please use small gas stoves or disposable BBQ's only. To avoid an accident with these, please read the manufacturer’s instructions carefully, do not smoke or use naked flames whilst connecting/disconnecting cylinders, make sure valves are closed before connection/disconnection, never remove a partially empty cylinder and please make sure new cylinders are fully screwed in - always be aware of possible leaks and do not try to cook in a restricted place - COOKING INSIDE YOUR TENT IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED.

ah we're not planning on taking any cooking devices - we're bringing snacks (cereal bars, crisps and the like), enough to serve us up to 2 meals a day, and buy one meal in the main bit each day :) I'm more than happy to live on pretty much just chips for 3 days if it saves me money ;) :rotfl: and he's not a major drinker () so won't work out *too* expensive as I'll bring a bottle (or 3) of wine with me ;)

hurry up, boy, Gemma wants pizza!

Gosh, there's so much I keep forgetting to tell peeps :o There's absoloutely no glass allowed on site hun so a wine box or decanted wine in plastic bottle it will have to be and you can take nothing at all into the Arena from the campsite apart from a sealed 500ml bottle of water.
That ain't working! That's the way to do it, money for nothing and TV's for free ;)

Oh and there's sniffer dogs, just in case you need to know that ;) lol they even patrol the campsite, they are dead cute and have really waggy tails but don't pet them or you will be hauled in a little dark tent with a rather fierce looking female security guard for a strip search :rotfl: Happened to a young friend of mine a couple of years ago, she'd been no where near anything illegal but the dogs took an interest in her, poor girl it ruined her day :(

but will defo pick up a bottle or two of sealed from this side - I'm expecting that to be cheaper than picking it up on the boat! thanks for all the advice :D
