Diva - What a way to handle the situation! They've just complicated something that could have been sorted in less than 1hr with the boy apologising, and getting a talking to from teachers!!
You should defo take it further, to the council and education dept. etc.
Get lots of evidence on your side too, emotional damage/bullying of your dd, other boys evidence, teachers covering up, present it to the head/governers, to give them a chance to respond, before making official complaints!
((hugs))

Splodz hun if you are doing calorie counting have a look at this it will then tell you how many calories you need to eat to stay your current size. In order to lose 1lb you have to have 3500 calories than the amount they tell you a week. So if it says 2250 calories a day you need to aim for 1750 a day if that makes sense. My dad did it and has lost a lot of weight but I forget about calories so its no good to me xx
Thanks ikkle. Have worked out the numbers and we'll see how it goes!
OMG Diva I can't believe the school are so relaxed about the whole thing! I hope you manage to get it sorted.

OMG I AM LIVID WITH THE SCHOOL
after the problems before half term, they got my letter today (a very strongly worded letter), and they called to explain there side of things. They first of all told me that BOY A had indeed broken his wrist in the incident, and wasnt in school today as he had a hospital check up, but assured me that all was being dealt with and they would sit down with the said boy tomorrow to sort things out.
DD was called into a meeting with year head and teacher with another boy who was a witness and the whols story was gone over with witness boy confirming everything i had written in my letter. May i add that witness boy is very very good friends with BOY A so has no reason to cover for DD.
Everything that was said was relayed back to me and so far i was happy-ish with the way it was dealt with UNTIL.....
DD came out of school when she got home I asked her how everything went with meeting etc.. and how the rest of the day was.
She got a bit upset and said that 2 boys have been picking on her saying that she broke BOY As arm and she is going to pay for doing that.
DD told them to go away and they do seem to have slinked off!!
I then called the school and spoke to the head of year again, to say what had happened with the 2 boys. to which she informed me 'well they are not lying are they, it is a fact that mollie did break BOY As arm'!!!!!
The fact that had BOY A not tried to strangle DD from behind and push her to the floor then he would of fallen with her on his arm and he wouldnt of broken it seems to have excaped them totally!!!!
She said the meeting tomorrow was going to be about getting the 2 of them to be friends again and not a meeting for a punishment or anything!!! she said i would have to take it to the headmaster if i wanted punishment sorted out.
I also found out toda, that BOY As mum does not know what happened at all. As far as she is aware he fell whilst playing on the field and broke his arm. The head of year also confirmed to me that she has had no contact with the boys mum at all.
Basically they are trying to hush it all up and hope it goes away. And they also just keep saying well BOY A has come off a lot worse, we think he will of learnt his lesson!!! As far as i know BOY A has been thoroughly spoilt in half term (friends with one of his freinds mum) due to his family all feeling sorry for him breaking his arm.
I did state to her that DD will not be apologising for anything that may have happened and i also said to head of year if they try and make her apologise DD has been instructed to refuse and ask them to phone us.
I am calling the headmaster in the morning for an urgent meeting as it is disgusting that they are now feeling all sympathy for BOY A and basically saying DD is ok so get over it.
To say i am livid is an understatement. I am so angry i could cry with frustration.
In one sense i want her to have a happy last 6 weeks at junior school, but also dont want boy to get away with it. DD says all she wants is for BOy A to get punished and told off and then forget it, but the school have basically said that is not going to happen, and DD should just forget it.
Diva,
if tomorrow you dont get the answers and action by the head, then you are within your rights to write directly to the Chair of Governors, complaining how the attack on your daughter has been treated, an it was an attack.
You could also ask for their policy on bullying and children provking violent behaviour towards others, you are within your right to see this and they cannot deny access to it.
Sorry but the boys mother should know and a punishment should be given,
I would expect that to be done at my school and would be livid if they did not follow the procedures laid down by the governors, if the school are not following these, then they should be informed.
If you need advice let me know
