I'm moving into a new flat soon.

If I go for home phone line rental with the Post Office, will my line be considered a 'BT landline'?

The reason I ask is because some internet providers I'm looking at say you require a BT landline.

    Yes,

The post office service is just the PO's brand which uses BT wholesale line rental. Also any existing IPstream BB connection will be unaffected by changing from BT retail to Post Office Home Phone or from Post Office Home Phone back to BT retail.
