New Smartphone - Safe to Sell on Ebay??

I,ve just received a smartphone that I was incredibly lucky to win in a competition. This phone is far too advanced for my simple need so I''ve decided to sell. I have looked at all the phone selling sites listed from here but the largest amount they are quoting is £90 when the phone is retailing at £349. I'm nervous with all the scare stories of mobile phone scams on ebay, as its such a lot of money to lose, but I have read lots of tips for mobiles sales from here and wondered if someone would be kind enough to give me a little further advice on my listing.

• Additional instructions : I have put the following*** ITEMS DESPATCHED TO A UK CONRIMED ADDRESS ONLY. ****** I AM AWARE OF THE 419 SCAM AND WILL NOT SHIP OVERSEAS, SO PLEASE DON'T ASK! ***
• Under Buyers Requirements: I have all the boxes ticked.
• Payment Methods: PayPal, Postal Order or Bankers Draft
• Selling Format: I was going to sell under BIN but having read some posts by experienced ebayers, they do not advise this. Do I then put this on auction at the starting price I would be happy receive or list at a lower fee with a reserve option? I don't know how best offer works?
• Return Policy: ?? Not sure what to put?

If there's anything else I can add to protect myself I would be most grateful, thank you.

take note of the imei number of the phone. it should be a 15 digit number starting with 359XXXXXXXXXXXX. you can find it on the label thats printed on the outside of the box or by turning the handset on and typing *#06#.

Yes, photo all around-for your own piece of mind, note down all serial numbers and imei number, mention casually your insurance company marked it with smart water as part of your home insurance.

With phones I only ever except paypal. Also make sure its sent Special Delivery

Me again!... I can't believe I've still not got around to listing this yet, I'm so nervous of being ripped off.

Just a couple more questions, I hope you don't mind.

1. Do I mention anywhere in the listing that I have noted the IMEI codes?
2. How many days would you suggest listing?
3. What Auction price do I start at? Do I start at the price Im happy to achieve? or a lower fee with a reserve .They RRP is £379.99 but not sure of a realistic price.
4. Should I cancel the Bankers Draft and P/O order option? and just accept PP

I would also set the payment options to immediate payment by paypal (if listing on a BIN)- stops the auction wreckers. If listing on a standard auction, tick that they must have a paypal account. Check closed auctions for a price they have sold for.

Take photos of the IMEI number and I personally would mention in the listing that it has been noted.

Write in you description its been security marked, and all serial numbers including imei number recorded also send it as next day special delivery and mention this in description too. At the same time you want to feel relaxed about selling it also think what youd want to know being the buyer
