HSBC to HSBC transfers

iv just made a transfer online of 1200 to another hsbc account but the money has gone out of my account instant into the hsbc account but is not available for withdraw??

An internal transfer should be available straightaway. If I transfer from my HSBC to another HSBC it's available for withdrawal immediately. The full £1200 won't be available for cash machine withdrawl as the card limit is only £300.

Maybe the recipient should call telephone banking...? 01226 261010 is the number if they don't want to use the 0845.

How are you rying to withdraw the money? Cashpoint / Internet banking etc. What is the name of the account you are trying to withdraw from?
