I am a bricklayer currently employed by a large construction company. I have been notified that my position within the business is to be made redundant along with eight more bricklayers. We are to have our final consultation on the 5th june when we will be handed our notice. I am required to work four weeks notice. Despite this there are now an additional seven sub contract bricklayers working on the same site. These sub contractors have been told that they have twelve weeks work. Do we have good grounds for appeal??? Any advice would be highly appreciated, thanx.
