How many people are going? Are any children going and what ages are they?

I presume that you are going from Southhall or Sussex/Rye

I find TransportDirect very good for any journey that I am unfamiliar with.

It will give you a few alternatives.
I hope it helps you too.

Not an easy place to get to from Rye. Your'e only optione are taxi, from the railway station--expensive as its about 8 to 10 miles--- and bus. I'm pretty sure there'e one which goes along this route but as we usually drive past that area I'm not too sure. Ask Pontins which service goes past them, someone should know.

£48.20 return, based on travelling on Monday and returning on Friday without using a rail card.

If you have a family and friends card, this takes it down to around £28.

This is booked through national express, who dont charge any booking fees.

You can take a bus, the 100 from Rye rail station, and this takes you near Pontins.

If you are going self catering, google supermarkets, as price on camp for food can be very expensive.

I've been busy so only just noticed this thread and I am probably too late. For future information, I can confirm that the 100 bus does indeed go to Pontins. I would recommend that you get off at the 2nd or 3rd stop at Camber (the first stop is right opposite the beach). There is a Nisa shop right at the Pontins entrance which will sell the basics, ie, bread, milk, eggs, cereal etc for quite reasonable prices. This is open from 7am to 9pm, Monday - Thursday, 7am to 10pm, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There is also a minimart inside Pontins which closes at Midnight most days. You go through the arcade to get to this.

    I hope this helps.
