Just wanted to share my 1st nappy cake. It's for our friends who we are going up to see in a couple of weeks. I had to blank out his name as its a surprise. Would like to know what you think and if you would change anything. Thank you!!

Thank you! Its only a 2 tier, i've got a bottle of wine for the parents going through the middle and have just wrapped a baby hat round it. The 2nd tier has 3 baby grows wrapped round it.

I see, couldn't make out what it was but can see they are babygros now you have said. I wrap muslin squares around my tiers, I am sure you will go on to make many more. The new parents will love it, well done.

I almost brought some muslin squares but had a picture in my head to use the babygros but it was alot more fiddly than i thought it would be. I might still buy some muslins and redo it.

Not sure about doing many more but have another close friend who is due in Nov and i'm thinking of throwing her a baby shower and making her one for then. Think they are lovely as gifts but the £'s soon add up. So there will be no competition from me on here to sell them.

Thank you Janey for your comments. :)

Thank you Giggle. Hat and mits are such a lovely set!:) I do hope they like it.

I did too, I wish I had listened to the person who said I would soon have box upon box full of nappies and blankets around the house! I could of done with taking up a hobby like writing on rice grains, it might of taken up a bit less space!

The nappy cake is great for a first one, will you be wrapping it in cello and putting some ribbons on, it always finishes them nicely :)

Thank you Vikki. Yes i will be wrapping it in cello. Just wanted to see what you lovely ladies thought of it first and to see if there is anything i could change to make it look better. Then i have got a lovely pull bow to finish it off along with ribbons. Once its all wrapped ill post another piccy. Thank you for your advice. :)
