  • If anyone has a shop like Pound Strecher they have lovely plush toys puppies in pink blue and cream for 2,99 they are cute :) They also have sale on bath relaxation items like bath salt in lovely box or bath bombs.
In pound world I've bought glass choping board for only 99p.

I've made yesterday my first towel cake for my friend birthdays:

  • does anyone have any links for a good tutorial on assembling a nappy cake
i looked at one and she opened the nappy up and rolled it, is that what you would recommend
also how do i thank people for replying to posts

    liz

    Hi Liz,
I don't open nappies just roll it from open side to bottom without opening I think it's more higienic and not everyone can like it that way. About tutorial : i've just wrote "how to make/do nappy cake" in google and opened one after another so like few girls doing it and tried on my own :) Everyone does it a little bit different
    Hope it helps

I've never made a cake before but BIL/SIL having their first baby in ~1month so I've decided to give it a go for them.

I went to Tesco last night. No sign of BOGOF fleece blankets but they did have some small (approx 3inch) teddies for £1 and some around 6 inches tall £2 each or 2 for £3. Also glove puppets for £1. All suitable for 12mths +

    Hope that info helps someone.

  • Hi - fab cakes everyone! I especially love the twin one (sorry was on last page, I can't remember who made it but it looked fab)

I gave up on the nappy pram - mine looked rubbish - even my 3 year old said ''mummy no one will want to buy that'' Cheeky madam! Although she had a point....

The bike was easy -well easier than I thought. I dunno how to put pics on here? but I used 20 nappies - 10 per wheel - lay them out in a big line, I used the bottom of the bit where the tabs go as a mark as where to put the next so they were all same distance and roll them up towards you- helps if you have big hands lol! I then just shoved an elastic band over them as a temp thing and then tied with ribbon and took off the band. Next I took a fleece blanket and folded it over and over so it was like a long sausage and thread through middle of both wheels. This is how they are joined. Next take a muslin, sausage it again and thred through front wheel. I put a 4oz feeding bottle on top of this wheel for a light! bring the folded muslin up over the bottle and secure with ribbon. I put a hat over the 'back of the light' and scrath mitts over the muslin handle bars. a pair of bootees made the saddle and I sat a bear on top. -Not sure if this is helpful or not!?! but thats how I made it!
  • Hi all, lovely cakes by the way, havent been on in so long but I though i'd show you what i've been doing.
Today I received some great news, I made a 3 tier cake for one of the directors at work for their grandchild. thinking it would be GREAT advertising, and I later recieved a phone call to ask if they can buy from me to sell in store to tell you i'm thrilled is an understatement, i'm so chuffed!:T:T:T

Heres a couple of cakes i've sold lately wil get a pic of the cake that won them over asap.
