EDIT 'I'm going to keep this thread up to date on how the sale is going through, vent my rants, ask questions and use it as a diary so hopefully in a couple of months time I can look back and see it was worth all the stress etc. Hope you don't mind everyone, if you do, don't read and I'll just whittle to myself.
I'm a 25 yr old English male civil servant working in Cardiff, married to a civil servant and as it says in the title we are FTB'ers after renting for 10 months since we got married as that was hectic enough.
We were keen on having a property that we can add value to (both pretty handy/practical) and fancied living in a house in a good area where we can bring up our children in a few years time. Buying a 'done up' house in these areas would be WAY over our budget. This purchase is an estate in a lovely area.
Any questions, just ask

Hi all,
I asked for some help recently re. second viewing and today after 24hours of negotiations have heard back from the 'executors' of the will that they are accepting our offer!
FTB'ers here so absolutely chuffed. Now to get a solicitor and mortgage confirmed! YES, SO HAPPY!
Thanks for all help over the last month or so I've been in this forum, learnt a lot

Noones as excited as me then!
Just spoke to EA and apparently the 'FOR SALE' board doesn't come down until the survey is completed. This doesn't sound right to me from what I've read on here.
Anyway, about to appoint solicitor and arrange another mortgage meeting.
