We've just moved out of a new build last week and had a similar set-up to you. It was a 2 bed flat with huge cylinder (Oso) in airing cubboard and underfloor heating, all electric. Our bill for November to March was.......£625!!! The cyclinder was on 24/7. We assumed it came in on morning for 2 hours and 4 hours in evening as per the control panel in 2nd bedroom.

We are now in dispute with landlord over the bill as it was wired up incorrectly to the timer. S

So be careful, leaving it on all the time is not necessarily cheaper!

I've got a kettle with a keep hot button, when set every half hour or so the kettle comes on for a few seconds. Same effect with your system. Makes no sense to have a tank full of piping hot water available all day long.

I don't understand that. Everyone knows you should use freshly drawn water for tea and coffee. Just boil what you need each time
