In Credit on my credit card Question

in Credit cards
Hi Everyone, I'm about £500 in credit on my credit card due to a refund for a faulty item that i purchased about a month ago.
I would like to know is there any way I can get this money from my credit card account as I've settled the card and they owe me now.
I'm not really going to use the card again as all the interest free offers on the card have finished so how do i go about it?
Do they send you a cheque and if so is there a charge for this?
It's a Tesco credit card btw
Thanks in advance

I don't know about Tesco, but I was in credit on my Capital One card when I closed the account and they did a bank transfer of the money for me with no problems. Hope that helps.0

Call them up and they should transfer it into your bank account free of charge.0

Lenders vary in this respect, as with everything else.
I'd contact Tesco and ask. If you ring Tesco Finance on 0800 505 555, you'll avoid the perishing 0870/0845 numbers

i was in credit on a barclay card and the only way that i could get the money back without being charged for a cash withdrawl was to phone barclaycard and close the account other wise i would have been charged for withdrawing a cash amount even though the account was in credit,
this may be the only way to get your money back without charges,
the money was transfered into my bank account.
hope that helps you.0 -
if not going to use the card anymore, i would call and ask for refund - they ask for writing confirmation, and want to check the refund that created the cr.bal is legit, but dont let them stall you!Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..
Sometimes seen lurking on the compers forum :-)0
