Just who issued the ticket is important to enable the experts to give their advice. Don't post it up yet if at all.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

Assuming it's not a council ticket (which I don't believe it will be):

    • do not pay
    • do not contact them
    • ignore their threatening junkmail
    • ignore the threatening junkmail from their powerless debt collectors (they are NOT bailiffs)
    • they will give up and go away

This is a mail scam. All you have is an unenforceable invoice - private companies have no powers to fine people, only recoup actual losses.

Even if you hadn't bought a P&D ticket, they'd only be entitled to £6 or £7, or however much an NEC ticket costs.

Ignore them and let them swivel.

Read the sticky and follow the instructions. Until we know the full story, we can't help.

ahh Council ECNs are a different matter. Do NOT ignore them. Before we get into it, I was not aware that Richmond did ECNs.
I think we will need to see it.

Yes, I see now. ECN. Not NEC.

Post up the ticket, as advised before, and someone will be along to help.

Based on your performance here I'd say there was a very good chance the P&D ticket was incorrectly displayed!
