Hi all .... been trying to help my brother clean up his machine a bit ... he knows nothing about computers ... i know a little but im no expert.
Anyway he had a mountin of spyware which i got rid of using spybot search and destroy, but there is still a problem which i cannot find the solution to.
Everytime you click to open IE, two other IE windows open with links to undesireable sites.
Any tips on how to stop this .... where are these files hiding and what program to use to flush them out?
Thanks

Try downloading Lavasoft's Ad-aware https://www.lavasoft.com it's free for personal use. Also, windows defender from microsoft https://www.microsoft.com/spyware.
If the problem is still there after that, try looking on https://www.spywareinfo.com and they have a lot of good information on how to remove the real bad stuff.- = I also recognise the Robins and beep for them = -0 -
Admuncher to mucnh onscreen ads (not what you asked for but good anyway) - Freeware.
PopThis! - freeware popup blocker.
Basically, a bit of spyware/malware has gone in and changed your homepage and perhaps installed a toolbar. There's various bits of software to check this that are freeware. The ones mentioned, although Adaware isn't as good as it once was. I've used a few and currently use Spybot - search and destroy.
Good luck.
