in Credit cards
i recently used my debit card (visa electron) to pay for checking in with ryanair at stansted airport and nothing has been deducted from my card yet the transaction was on the 16 of april,
does anyone know how long they have to make the deduction from my account because these types of transaction are normally done on the day that you use the card and it is becoming a bit of a neausance not know if and when they are going to take the money or not.
i know this is not a credit card question but i could not find anywhere else to ask this question if the post needs moving could a mod please move it ,
many thanks.

At point of sale your bank will have authorised payment it is then up to Ryanair to claim the money.
Chances are your balance would have reflected the amount immediately then when payment wasn't claimed within 2-3 days your balance would have been adjusted.
Happened to me a while back with a council tax payment, money debited then returned only to be debited about a week later.
Safest bet is to leave the said amount in there as it can be taken at any time and will be.Natwest gold..Limit £1750 bal £970..Vanquis Limit £3000 bal £0..Littlewoods..Limit £1200 bal 0..Additions direct..Limit £4900 bal £1356..Empire Limit £6200 bal £152..Jd williams..Limit £1100 bal £130..Simplybe..Limit £1500 bal 265,,Fashion world..Limit £1400 bal £145 Jacamo..Limit£125 bal 0
Next..Limit £?? bal £0 Asda..limit £1250 bal £440,0 -
could have gone in the bank account section? no probs though.
they have up to 6 months to take the payment0 -
thanks for your reply i was not sure how long they had to take the money and i have not seen the money deducted from my account at any time on my statements,
so i will have to wait and see when they take it.0
