BT just compensated me for the mobile calls I had to make to them - gobsmacked!

I had two concurrent problems with BT - being overcharged £90 for installation, and, ironically, that installation not actually working, and hence no working phone line. I had to use my mobile to call them and racked up £8.05 of calls (not much, but still!), not to mention hours of call-centre rage on my part after repeatedly being lied to or simply not understood!
Anyway, I fired off a message to them this morning (using the form on their website) and expected a lame response or possibly no response. Instead I got a call 2 hours later telling me that the £8.05 plus £5 goodwill would be credited to my account. I was asked for no evidence of the call charges.
I am rather surprised! Of course whether the credit actually finds its way to my account is another matter, but still!
