£1.80 on a baguette for lunch, yum! Thats it :j and am staying with parents this weekend so hopefully a cheap one :D:naughty:

Yesterday not so good though, was driving 300 mile trip down to my parent's house. All well, took food etc to avoid motorway services prices :j But.... didn't take enough cash for the Severn Bridge Toll (£4.90 ) so had to get cash at services at the horrible machine that charges £1.85

Ah well, won't make that mistake again! :rotfl:

  • Afternoon all!

Spent today but only on a couple of kids' books (which is allowed no matter how broke I am!). One was on special, and I had two world book day vouchers to use, so £3.98 for £8.98 of books. That's it. Banked another £20 from the £2 club, and £10 in 20ps for my holiday fund.

So close to being balanced now - just a matter of the £200 overdrawn on my account which will clear on Wednesday next week. Then we're done!

 to themaccas - you're doing such a great job of clearing your debts!

Have spent 20 mins on the phone to Wescot. Previous owners of our house debt now topping £15k, with at least one other we don't know about. We're making a sign to stick in the front door to say they've moved and their solicitors details. That might stop the bailiffs at least!

Just been to Tesco, and after the £20 gift card was taken off, I spent £10.40, so my total food spend for March is £29.27!!!!! So prond of myself!

I bought loads of cheap beef to make a massive six-portion casserole in my slow cooker, plus two chickens (on BOGOF) for sandwiches and stir fries, plus chieck breasts on BOGOF and vegetables and just loads of stuff!

Will be cooking all tonight and Sunday (working tomorrow) but at ;least I'll have lots of tasty cheap meals to eat when I get in from London for the next two weeks!

Thanks for the tip off about the BOGOF Chickens at Tesco Skint Chick. I've got my whole family coming for lunch on Sunday (13 of them) and I'm doing roast so they will be ideal!!

Not spent anything today but likely to be a big spend on food for Sunday tomorrow ... at Tesco now! ;)
