Morning all,
Today planning to have a cheap day but dont think it'll be a no spender.
Have to buy cheap nailpolish remover at lunch.
Friend has got tickets for us both to see sugababes in Manchester so I'm off there this evening. And she got tickets as a present so free concert!!!
Think I'll buy her dinner as a thankyou but still cheap evening out.
Oh and todays payday! yippee.0 -
Put £325 towards paying off loan (plus the £293.14 payment) so erm erm erm... £618.14 I think???0

I got £10 of free petrol today!
Back in December, Egg emailed to try and make me use my empty Egg card - saying if I spent £50 they would give me £10.
Not wanting to look a gift horse in the mouth, I bought a couple of Christmas presents and the balance was duely paid off before any interest was due and I then forgot about it. They sent me an email this week to say that they'd credited the £10 to my card, and sure enough there it was.
So I put exactly £10 in the tank and paid with the Egg card to bring the balance back to zero and I feel all chuffed as it was free.
Not planning to spend anything else for the rest of the month hopefully.... fingers crossed.

I have spent too much this week as I always spend when I am feeling low, so today I have locked myself in, but might have to pop out for some milk later so I will only take loose change with me!! :rotfl:Official DFW Nerd - Member no. 045

I've spent most of this week staying in to try not to spend - but come to the conclusion that it's better if I go out... I have reasonable spending willpower but lousy eating willpower when I'm pottering at home :cool:Do I Need One Stops All Unnecessary Reckless Spending£2 CSC - £30 :kisses3:0 -
Hi all,
Well it's pay day here too, I have my spreadsheet budget (first time ever!) and my credit cards in the freezer. I did treat myself to a bagel for breakfast (60p) since it is pay day and a friday but other than that nowt today! I have even turned down the lunchtime drink, and by working through I can leave work at 4pm- hurrah!Saving for an early retirement!0 -
I didn't get back on the computer yesterday evening (chldern too busy with homework/msn!), and don't want to bump yesterday's thread, so I shall add yesterday's spend here today...
Yesterday, £5 on petrol, and 50p on local newspaper.
Today - will have to be nothing as an exhaustive search of the house has revealed the grand sum of 6p, and I am NOT going to raid my £2 coin collection. I haven't recovered from having to give DS1 £4 from it last Friday... :eek:It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Have spent far too much already! Just went into town to buy bleach, aftershave, toothpaste haircolour. Came home with the same, BUT saw a bargain in our local Its a Gift - Kingfisher camping stove for £8.99. Saw same thing in George Allan reduced from £19.99 to £14.99. Me thinks am justified in splashing out there, potentially saving me at least £6.00. I will be needing this stove for my camping holiday early June, and I doubt will see a stove any cheaper. I had looked on ebay, but when you combine the cost of the item and the postage, it does not make sense to buy online.
So, I am feeling pleased with myself. (Although a little guilty about spending any money at all in general.)keep smiling,
