Halifax offer of settlement

Hi I have recently been offered near full settlement of my claim (£426) due to financial hardship however, in the meantime the Halifax have added a further £200 of charges onto the charges I claimed for. I wrote to them explaining that I would like to accept the offer but could not afford it as they have increased my debt by another third. They have repled and basically said that is the offer and if I want any more I will have to wait unti the court of appeal decision. Do I accept this offer and then claim again for the £200? How do I stop them from charging? Thanks for any assistance!

I would accept it and send in a new claim for the £200 and perhaps ask them to consider you under Financial Hardship. If your priority debts need paying ask them to send you cheques for the following amounts(up to £426) and name the creditor plus the amount. If they say no then I would be tempted to go to the FOS on that basis specifically.Hi I have recently been offered near full settlement of my claim (£426) due to financial hardship however, in the meantime the Halifax have added a further £200 of charges onto the charges I claimed for.
