Free Gatwick night and 8 days parking glitch

Ok, now I have secured it myself, I will let you in on it. Hurry whilst stocks last

www.holidayextras.co.uk offer the airport hotel and parking package free if you book and find it cheaper.

Price up a night at Gatwick Ramada plus 8 days parking at the hotel (which may be £120) and then zip over to www.gatwickreservations.com and run a search there. You should find the Gatwick Ramda and 8 days parking at the hotel should come up cheaper.

Book with holiday extras and pay the £2.95 cancellation premium (so you can walk away from this if it goes wrong). You will get a confirmation email.

Call them up on their 0800 number (on front website), option 2 and report the price mismatch.

Now, this is where you need to be firm

the reason you are being charged a higher price is because their system has booked and charged you 15 days parking, but your confirmation email states it is 8 days parking (THEIR FAULT). Once you get this through to them (they may protest) you will get it agreed. Take names of who you speak to and good luck.

thanks for this, ive just booked and called them. they said the price match department would call me back so fingers crossed! i did notice after booking tho that it said room only customers will be charged £5 for over night parking - do u know if this applies?

you wont be room only you have a package.

Just tried this, and when calling to report the price match they explained that the car park needs to be exactly the same-
the holiday extras offer has parking at the airparks car park (off site)
and the gatwick reservations website has parking on site at the hotel.

As far as they see it, this is not identical, and they won't honour the price match as per the terms and conditions - ended up cancelling my booking as I could obviously book it elsewhere for cheaper.

Would have been if it had worked though!

The £120 one is for parking at the hotel. There are different options inc. park and ride and meet and greet.
They called me back and said they will honour the price match. I have to call back the day after i get back and the refund will be given.

you need the £120 deal - not the cheper deal with Airparks. there are three options, air parks, meet greet and the hotel.
