                    If you've looked and looked, but can't find the perfect combination of land and house, maybe it's time to consider building. And while buying land for your new home can seem intimidating at first, you'll find it really isn't a horrible task if you fine-tune your wants and needs before you start searching for real estate.

            We're considering this option at the moment, but the whole thing seems quite daunting.
Knowing where to start is the biggest hurdle at the moment.0 - 
            Finding suitable land is a huge problem.
There's a shortage of suitable affordable land in our area. Since house prices have increased so much over the last few years, the cost of land has risen accordingly too.
You could buy a small house for the cost of some of the plots we've seen.
