Printer help please

I've got an HP deskjet f2180 printer that keeps putting everything I want to print in a print queue and then I can't get it to print anything.
Can anybody tell me how to get out of it and get restarted.

    Probably the first item in the queue has failed to print and that is blocking everything after it. Clear the printer queue (i.e delete all o/s documents) using your printer utility and then print it again.
    This is assuming that the printer is functioning OK-run a test print to check this once you have cleared the cache as above.
    No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
