The whole point of my post was that the OP had already ruled that out in the very first post. It's irrelevant what the other driver says, and while many people through human nature later change their story, make counter allegations etc, in this case there is no evidence of that either. It wasn't a matter of a typo at all.

'I didn't see you,' is a statement admitting negligence, since it is the emerging driver's responsibility to see & give way.
