Do you have priority debt arrears(mortgage/rent, council tax, utilities)?
Do you use another account now?

No arrears yet on rent and council tax. All other bills are now in arrears.

Yes I am using a different bank - I have been for years... natwest still continued to wack the charges on though

are you still paying into any natwest account or only through the payment plan?
Is the account you are currently using got charges and are you claiming hardship with them?
I have not worked for NatWest Bank since February 2009

I'm not paying into any natwest account. Gregory Pennington now pay moorcroft (since natwest have now handed my debt over to them after increasing over several years by continuing to put on interest and charges cancelling out all the reduced payments i've been making through gregory pennington). My bank account is run by gregory pennington - i've had it since i signed up with them - it doesn't do charges --- at the moment Gregory pennington are holding off my creditors while i'm in my low paid job

You mean my rent and council tax? I'm not in debt with these - they are the only bills i'm able to afford to pay

Oh right. My housemates pay them off in advance and then I pay them back. It's quarterly so it's ok for now

I need to say this now. From what you have written on the thread the bank will not see you as in financial hardship since there are no priority debt arrears and the natwest charges themselves have not contributed towards any priority debt arrears. The FOS will I believe agree on that point unfortunately.

    I never concluded this saga...

after hounding Natwest I eventually got to the stage where i took it to a financial ombudsman and then they sent me another letter... it said that they are right and i am definitely still wrong but because i have been meticulously paying them through Gregory Pennington all these years they are going to cancel the entire debt i owe to them.

    I win.
