Family member is a named driver in a motor insurance policy for 3 years. She is 34 and thought best to get her own policy. She passed her test 3 years ago. Does any insurers offer NCB for named drivers or does she has to start from nil NCB?
Problem with having access to internet is that i get asked by many to solve their problems
Well at least i learn something on the way

You have to buy insurance as well as have no claims to get NCB.
See if a broker can help by getting an introductory discount to reflect her 3 years incident free record.0 -

They have a "marketing" type NCB for named drivers. (ie you cannot go there and say "I have been a named driver elsewhere and never made a claim", and be given a NCD off a new policy with them).
It's got to be earned first by being a named driver on a DL policy.
And can only be used when the named driver subsequently buys their own DL policy.0 -
You may be able to get an introductory bonus by being a named driver on a policy, if your family member approaches the same insurance company. Worth a try I guess.

So does diamond, they mirrored my NCB on our 2nd car, even though my partner was to be the main driver instead of me.4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0
