I bought the Silvercrest SLR65T digital terrestrial receiver at Lidl last week at £19.99, not a bad box but lacking in some features but it will do until I get a new TV.
But howshould I arrange my setup so that I can record digital TV?
The SilverCrest SL65T, has two scart sockets
I also have A VCR with two scart sockets;
A Television with two scart sockets;
DVD Player 1 Scart socket
At the moment I have the following setup
SL65T – Scart 1 to video
Scart 2 to TV (following SilverCrests instructions)
DVD Player scart to TV
I receive analogue as well as digital very well.
The digi box has various other connections like-S-VHS but the Video recorder only has the scart sockets.
I would like to record a digital channel while watching an analogue channel (the box only has one tuner) or record analogue while watching digital. If I’m recording from a digital channel can I put the TV in standby mode?
At this point in time I’m not worried about pre-programming I’m quite happy to just press record at the start and finish. How do I go about it?

We manage fine with a similar setup. Just set the video to AV instead of channel 1....2...etc. Then record and watch TV on analogue. You can set the TV on standby or switch it off whilst recording.0
