Hi all,i lost all my sound yesterday so after the usual checks i did a system restore nd got the sound back.However i noticed my screen saver wasn`t coming on so i right clicked the desktop and set the screen saver properties but when i closed the window it lost them again despite me clicking apply and ok........it will preview screensavers but just loses the setting when i close the window.......any ideas?

Well this certainly is a different one which I haven't heard before!!!!
Since when did you notice that this was happening? After the system restore? Was everything fine before the system restore? Have you tried restoring again to maybe a different point?
Also have you ever downloaded/installed external 3rd party screensaver software?
Finally have you recently had any viruses/worms that type of thing.. and do you have a reliable virus scanner and adware remover?
