They bring out a new model at least once every year, so I would wait for a sale on these (Incidentally Aldi are having another clearance sale on products such as VCR/DVD combi!)
There are only two types of computers in the world:
Those that are out of date before they have left the factory
Those that haven't been built yet

I reckon they didn't sell as many as they expected to last time and so maybe they have a backlog to get rid of and can't lower the price. Think they should have cut down on the number of TV cards but then thats not what makes this expensive I guess.

Such as the 250GB external HDD for £99.99 much cheaper ones elsewhere.
You're right. I was surprised that this is the same price they were selling back in November, when I got a fanless Buffalo Drive Station of the same capacity from Amazon for £72.Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0 -
thats a defo ripoff-ish as most stores would lower price atleast by a tenner but not aldi then these pcs will be on shelfs for ages and ages like our locla aldi there are cameras, hardrives remotes etc still there in glass shelfs at till never seen them take any out to hand it to a customer, they are not there for display purpose as they have more than one. 6x tv cards seemed great last year but not now, I would rather go for a better graphics card minus the analogue tuners.

Maybe the reason Aldi haven't dropped their prices since the PCs were last on sale is because Aldi were already at tiny profit margins?
I would think that any sensible comparison between the Aldi specs and a competitor's PC at a similar price, would show that Aldi gives you a lot of bang for your buck...
