Hi
i know im not the first and wont be the last but im really at the end now...
Up untill a year ago all our dept were being paid and we had no worries and then my husband had to give up the pocket money hobby he was doing that paid the depts and now we are strugging badly
We are a married couple with 4 children and one on the way . I have taken all our depts to the CAB who have writtern to companys but feel there is no free income to pay the depts so the suggested going bankcrupt. Thats a Great idea but we both need to go bankcrupt but thats were catch 22 is we have no spare cash to do it with or anyone we could borrow from and i dont know how to get the money. The CAB now have this week have closed the file as we cannot sort any payment or get the cash.
I have herd theres possible help in getting funds towards bankcruptcy as we are on almost full working and child tax credits.
\any advice suggestions would be most welcome as this year been a bad year so far with my 61 year old mum dying and i feel this is the finaly straw!!!!
hear from someone soon

I'm only new to this kind of thing, but if you want to go bankrupt (and know of all the issues this could raise) then surely you can just not pay any credit bills and raise the money that way???Debt as at 12th July 2006 - £61,345
Debt free 21st Oct 2011.
All thanks to :money:0 -
Hi vippymini
Sorry to hear about your situation. Someone with advice on BR will be along soon but until then I'd recommend noting down all your income and expenses and posting it here as an SOA (Statement Of Affairs). We'll then be able to make suggestions / give advice for you in context with your situation.
If you need somewhere to start, check out southernscouser's comprehensive guide here: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=107280
Good luck and, believe me, a problem shared is a problem halved... especially from people who are in, or who've been in, a similiar position.0 -
Thanks so far , if i had the money that covered the bill i sure would save it but income has been so tight i cant even pull that together . so hopefully eventually it might get sorted!!!!0

Have you tried CCS or Payplan in case they can offer more advice than CAB? Just an idea.
Sorry to see you are going through a rough time but, remember, this is a phase, not the rest of your life :grouphug:Leason learnt :beer:0 -
Yes, you must try either CCCS or Payplan to make sure they agree with what the CAB have said. Both very helpful.Debt as at 12th July 2006 - £61,345
