Hello,
I have a standard HSBC current account and I am wondering what options I have available to be able to make a payment tomorrow. I will be going overdrawn about £1k but will have more than that coming into my account in 3 days time.
If i go 1k into the red tomorrow without a overdraft set up what are they likely to charge me inc any interest over the 3 working days?
Really need advice !
Cheers

What makes you think they'd allow you to go £1,000 overdrawn without an overdraft? What would William Shatner do?0
-
well that's my question. Will they let it happen?0

Impossible to answer.0

well if they do allow it, they will shaft you good and proper with charges I should imagine, and quite rightly too. If you don't have an agreed overdraft you have no right to make the transactions. Why don't you just ring them and ask for an O/D ??If you will the end, you must will the means.0

it all depends whether you make a habbit of going overdrawn or not? alot of banks now, because of the fight they are going through at court as to whether bank charges are fair or not, alot of banks will not let you go overdrawn at all to avoid having to add such charges to your account which you may then be liable to claim from them, in the future.Never regret anything that made you smile0

Ok I will have to phone them and see if i can set up a overdraft. Will they be able to set it up relativly quickly? And what are the charges likely to be?!0

There shouldnt be any reason why if granted it cannot be set up immediately. Check their website for interest charges.0
