JD Sports- advice needed please!

Yesterday my ds3 used all the money he had saved to go and buy a jacket from the store. This morning he washed he as it had a mark on it-
silly I know he should have showed me first:rolleyes:- the mark is where a bit of
colour from one part is on a white stripe- its not a 'run'- he took it back
and they refused to exchange it because of it been washed. Do we have any rights as such here?

They might turn around and say it was washed incorrecly and it caused damage.

Have thought about that and looked at it- its definatly(sp?) Due to how its been made and not due to anything else as its a small patch of colour and not a 'run'

Take it back to a different branch & don't tell them you washed it

I don't condone ripping companies off but JD are diaboloical

We had this with a top my daughter bought, she met me in the shopping centre showed me it (she had bought it 20 mins earlier)
I noticed a fault down one seam
    We went straight back
They basically called us liars and said we must of damaged it on purpose
They treated her in a very off hand manner because she was young (18 at the time)
They said they "don't do refunds"
Only after I insisted on seeing the manager & threatened them with court action for breaching SOGA to get her refund
They very ungraciously gave her a refund then told her to shop elsewhere in future ! Nice
We have never shopped there since
"Very funny, Scotty. Now beam down my clothes."

All truth goes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Then, it is violently opposed. Finally, it is accepted as self-evident.

Thanks for that. He said they brought the manager out (well don't know if he was) and said as it had been washed they wouldn't do nothing. My Ds3 is 15 but a big tall lad- but is always polite- might ring tomorrow and see
    what reaction I get
