Seems a good idea for future ex-BTL surplus to become social housing then!
Looks nailed on to be honest, I really don't understand why people bought some of these these places. A number of these blocks are edging onto some very deprived areas e.g. Cheetham Hill in Manchester, now you wouldn't wish to pay £250k for a nice exec flat in Dodge City would you? The facts haven't changed, it was obvious 2 years back.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -
you're probably right - but when i say tax efficient it's all above board.
there are plenty out there that don't declare their earnings especially with accidental landlords.
They should be declaring their tax losses, to put against future year profits.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. seemed pretty clear to me - you obviously don't understand it because you've not commented anything positive or negative about it just tried another weak snipe.

I think it would be great if the following graph was updated

My point is though, where do people see this being represented in the coming few decades.
We have started to see a decline in Owner Occupied and also in social rented.
Will society become dependant on the private rented properties.
It certainly seemed it was so a decade ago.:wall:

Not at all. I don't want to be a LL, and I don't do envy....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

The original post - will I be envious in 10 years' time...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0
